What to Bring

Please have the following documents available during the consultation so you can follow along with the discussion and reference your own retirement information, numbers, and statements as we review each topic.

1. Pension Estimate Report

Example FDNY pension estimate. The Service pension estimate report is generated by the “pension portal” on a job computer.
Note: if you are retiring from FDNY with a 3/4 pension you will need the pension estimate report for 3/4s. The pension estimate for 3/4s is only generated by NYC Fire Pension Fund personnel. Retiring 3/4s members do not have the ability to generate a 3/4 pension estimate report on their own.

2. NYC Deferred Compensation Plan statement

3. Union Annuity Fund statement (known as an Accrual Fund for UFA members)

These documents are for your personal reference during the Group Retirement Consultation and do not need to be submitted to Brave Eagle in advance.

Important Information

Group Format

The Group Retirement Consultation is designed to provide general retirement education and guidance in a small-group setting. Attendees will have the opportunity to follow along using their own retirement documents and ask general questions throughout the session. Because the session is shared with other attendees, highly individualized circumstances are not addressed during the group consultation.

Divorce / QDRO Matters

The Group Retirement Consultation does not address individual divorce or QDRO-related matters. These situations may require a separate consultation.
